Often it can seem like good is over there, but not here. Or we may feel like everyone else has access to a happy life while we struggle.

Do we just accept the picture — whether we’re benefited or not? Do we just put our head down and let toil be the forever fact of life?

No. Jesus told us, “the Kingdom of God is within you (Luke 17:21).” I love this statement. It tells me that Right now — forever — good is within you, within all of us!

One of my favorite authors wrote:

When speaking of God’s children, not the children of men, Jesus said, “The kingdom of God is within you;” that is, Truth and Love reign in the real man, showing that man in God’s image is unfallen and eternal.

—Mary Baker Eddy, Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures, p. 477

As Jesus was pointing out, and Mrs. Eddy helps make clear, we are really God’s children. That’s why the Kingdom of God is within—because our true parentage is of God, our Father-Mother Love.

Accepting this simple fact can put us on the pathway of peace, knowing that we never have been, can be, nor will be, separated from God’s, divine Love’s, eternal care and protection.

More than this, all of us have divine authority to claim this fact today and this very moment. Each of us is loved! And this fact will never change because the one who loves us is divine Love itself — our eternal Father-Mother God.
